In high school, I owned a graphic tee that stated "kindness can change the world," and Maggie White quoted me in the school newspaper. I truly believe kindness can change the world. I'm thankful for the people that God has placed in my life. People that showed me kindness, invested in my life, and watered my soul. Today, I ate cake and started a two person book club with my really FUN niece. She's a freshman in high school and a wise lady. She said " ya know... Not everyone has a cool aunt like you " & then, we rode around listening to our thrift store treasure, Dixie Chicks- Wide Open Spaces album. I think those are the kind of moments that change the world. Spending time with people you love and letting them know they matter. Thanks Maggie White for putting my face in the newspaper.
"We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside of us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit." - e.e. cummings
